With the end of the year quickly approaching, we’re one of the favourite Summer holiday destination spots in Australia. From theme parks to beautiful sandy beaches and the amazing Summer weather. But for most of us, December is the month of Christmas so this month we have some must see and do, to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
Celebrate with your community, family and friends at any of the Carol events in so many locations across the Gold Coast. Some with fireworks, some have celebrities, but most important, the chance to gather together for a night of Christmas cheer and amazing entertainment, music and if you’ve been good…a visit from Santa Claus. We’ve named a few of our favourite spots.

Brisbane Christmas Parade
If you haven’t yet been to the Christmas Parade presented by David Jones, it is worth the trip to Brisbane to get you in the holiday spirit. Starting at the Queen Street Mall end of Edward Street the parade marches its way through the streets towards King George Square, entertaining both kids and adults alike. It’s a free event and runs each night from 7pm from the 15th December until Christmas Eve.
Do you dread the hustle and bustle of the stores at Christmas?
Christmas Gift Markets at South Bank
Then head to a one stop Christmas shop at the outdoor Christmas Gift Markets at South Bank. With toys, homeware, jewellery and fashion you can even get your presents gift wrapped for a gold coin donation with proceeds going to the Life Flight Foundation.
Open 3pm until 10pm daily from 15th December through till 23rd December.
